Malicious code in relativity-foundation-core (npm) 0 The npm package relativity-foundation-core version 6.8.2 contains malicious code that executes a preinstall script during npm install. This script collects system information such as hostname, user environment variables, current working directory, npm registry configuration, and CI environment variables, encodes this data in base64, and sends it via an HTTPS GET request to an attacker-controlled domain (a Burp Collaborator subdomain). The package's main code file is empty, indicating its sole purpose is reconnaissance and data exfiltration during installation.
