Malicious code in sme-crm-services-sme-crm-services-core (npm) 0 The npm package sme-crm-services-sme-crm-services-core version 20.1.4 contains malicious code that downloads and executes an opaque binary from anonymous Cloudflare Workers subdomains. The binary is saved to temporary directories under disguised names, given executable permissions, and run detached from the main process. The package uses obfuscation techniques such as fragmented hostnames and string-split API calls to evade static detection. Environment variables and a local stamp file are used to limit repeated execution. This behavior is disguised under an 'analytics SDK' cover story.
