Malicious code in tracker-radar-detector (npm) 0 The npm package tracker-radar-detector version 1.0.1 contains malicious code that executes automatically upon installation. The package's preinstall script collects sensitive system information including hostname, OS username, home directory, DNS server list, and contents of /etc/passwd and /etc/hosts if present. This data is then exfiltrated via an HTTPS POST request to an attacker-controlled domain unrelated to the package's intended functionality.
