Malicious code in trailserver (npm) 0 The trailserver npm package version 1.0.5 contains malicious code that, when installed or imported, silently installs Python and several Python libraries, then runs a Python script that monitors clipboard content, captures screenshots including OCR-selected regions, and records keystrokes. The collected data is sent to a hardcoded remote server controlled by the attacker. The malicious payload also hides its user interface and can auto-type content into other applications, with a hidden panic-exit feature.
