Malicious code in checkout-create-token (npm) 0 The npm package 'checkout-create-token' version 35.5.6 contains malicious code that silently downloads and executes a platform-specific binary unrelated to its advertised token-generation functionality. The malicious behavior includes assembling command-and-control hostnames, retrieving payloads via DNS TXT records, downloading binaries to temporary directories, setting executable permissions, and spawning detached processes to run the binaries.
