Malicious code in checkout-legal-logic (npm) 0 The npm package 'checkout-legal-logic' version 35.3.7 contains malicious code that acts as an import-time dropper. Upon requiring the package, it downloads a platform-specific executable from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers subdomains or via a DNS TXT record fallback from suspicious domains. The executable is saved under disguised filenames in temporary directories, made executable, and launched detached in the background. The package falsely advertises itself as a structured logger, but its behavior enables full host remote code execution controlled by the operator of the delivery endpoints.
