Malicious code in checkout-mobile-accounts-old (npm) 0 The npm package 'checkout-mobile-accounts-old' version 35.6.6 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific native binary from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers hosts. It uses a DNS-TXT record covert channel fallback to retrieve a base64-encoded payload, stages it in temporary directories with disguised filenames, sets executable permissions, and runs it detached from the main process. This behavior enables full-host remote code execution on any system installing this package, which is unrelated to its stated purpose.
