Malicious code in checkout-mobile-pay-widget (npm) 0 The npm package checkout-mobile-pay-widget version 35.9.1 is a malicious dropper disguised as a mobile payment SDK. When required, it downloads and executes attacker-controlled payloads from multiple obfuscated Cloudflare Worker mirrors or a DNS-TXT covert channel fallback. The payload is saved to temporary system directories with names mimicking legitimate runtime artifacts and executed detached from the parent process. The package does not provide any legitimate functionality and uses environment variables and sandbox evasion techniques to appear inert.
