Malicious code in claims-api-clients-shared (npm) 0 The npm package claims-api-clients-shared version 35.1.9 contains malicious code that, upon import, downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from suspicious external hosts without verification. This binary is saved to temporary files with misleading names and executed detached from the main process. The package uses obfuscation techniques to evade detection, including dynamic URL assembly and loading child_process via string concatenation. A large telemetry-related script is included but unused, likely as a decoy. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
