Malicious code in claims-enums (npm)
0

The npm package 'claims-enums' version 35.7.6 contains malicious code that loads and executes a platform-specific opaque binary fetched from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers subdomains. This binary is downloaded at runtime, saved to temporary directories under misleading filenames, given executable permissions, and executed via shell commands. The package uses runtime string assembly and obfuscation techniques to evade static analysis. The advertised functionality of the package does not justify fetching and executing native binaries, indicating malicious intent. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
