Malicious code in cobrowsing-k8s-module (npm) 0 The cobrowsing-k8s-module npm package version 35.6.2 contains malicious code that, upon requiring its main entry, dynamically reconstructs remote hostnames to fetch and execute an opaque binary payload. This payload is downloaded over HTTPS and saved with disguised filenames before execution. If the HTTP fetch fails, the code uses a DNS-TXT record covert channel to retrieve the payload in base64-encoded chunks, bypassing HTTP egress filters. The malicious behavior is disguised as analytics or telemetry functionality. No integrity verification of the downloaded payload is performed.
