Malicious code in delivery-ci-update-gitlab (npm)
0

The npm package delivery-ci-update-gitlab version 35.7.5 contains malicious code that downloads and executes an unsigned, unhashed platform-specific binary from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers subdomains. If the HTTPS retrieval fails, it uses a covert DNS-TXT channel to reconstruct and execute the binary. The package masquerades as an internal CI/GitLab tool and attempts to disguise its behavior as telemetry by setting environment variables related to analytics opt-out. The package metadata is minimal and suspicious, lacking repository and author information.
