Malicious code in devplatform-nx-pvm (npm) 0 The npm package devplatform-nx-pvm version 35.2.9 contains malicious code that automatically downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from attacker-controlled hosts. The package disguises this behavior by fetching binaries over HTTPS, writing them to temporary directories with obfuscated filenames, setting executable permissions, and spawning them detached from the main process. If HTTPS fetches fail, it uses a covert DNS TXT channel to retrieve and execute the payload. The package also uses environment variable checks to evade detection. Simply installing and importing this package triggers execution of attacker-controlled code. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/05/2026, 13:50:22 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 15:31:04 UTC |
