The devplatform-po-loader npm package version 35.1.8 contains malicious code that acts as a dropper. Upon being required, it loads a platform-specific script that downloads a binary payload from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers endpoints, writes it to temporary directories under disguised names, sets executable permissions, and executes it detached from the main process. It also uses a covert DNS TXT record channel as a fallback to reassemble and execute payload chunks. The package disguises its intent with a marker file and comments to evade detection and advertises itself as a trivial loader library, but contains no legitimate library functionality.
