Malicious code in devplatform-react-form (npm)
0

The npm package devplatform-react-form version 35.8.3 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific native binary from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers endpoints and fallback domains. The package masquerades as a React form library but does not provide form functionality. Instead, it writes the downloaded payload to temporary directories under deceptive names, sets executable permissions, and spawns it detached to achieve full host code execution. The malicious behavior is obfuscated to evade static analysis, including dynamic assembly of host and API strings and use of a parallel dropper disguised as an analytics SDK.
