Malicious code in devplatform-react-hooks (npm) 0 The npm package devplatform-react-hooks version 35.5.7 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from dynamically constructed Cloudflare Workers hostnames and a DNS-TXT fallback domain. The binary is saved to a disguised path with executable permissions and launched detached from the main process. The package misleadingly claims to perform telemetry functions and provides environment variables to opt out of telemetry, but actually executes opaque native code at import time.
