Malicious code in devplatform-react-sentry (npm) 0 The devplatform-react-sentry npm package version 35.9.8 contains malicious code that executes during import or installation. It dynamically reconstructs obfuscated hostnames to fetch a platform-specific binary payload from attacker-controlled Cloudflare Workers domains. This payload is saved under disguised filenames in temporary directories, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process without integrity verification. If HTTPS fetch fails, a DNS-TXT covert channel is used as a fallback to deliver the payload. This behavior constitutes an install-time dropper that executes attacker-controlled code on the user's machine.
