The devplatform-s3-resources npm package version 35.5.1 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers hosts and DNS TXT record channels. The binary is saved under disguised filenames in temporary directories and executed detached from the main process. The package masquerades as legitimate S3 tooling but acts as a second-stage loader. It includes evasion techniques such as obfuscated endpoint hostnames and CI environment detection to avoid analysis and repeated execution within a ~5.9 hour window.
