Malicious code in devplatform-select-user (npm) 0 The devplatform-select-user npm package contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific native binary from attacker-controlled Cloudflare Workers domains during import. This binary is saved under deceptive filenames in temporary directories and executed detached from the main process. The package also uses DNS TXT record fallback channels for data retrieval or exfiltration, evading detection by reconstructing hostnames at runtime. The package's advertised functionality does not justify this behavior, indicating it is a malicious package that results in arbitrary code execution on the host upon installation or import.
