Malicious code in devplatform-snarkdown (npm) 0 The devplatform-snarkdown npm package version 35.2.1 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a native binary from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers hosts or via a DNS-TXT covert channel. This behavior is unrelated to its advertised purpose as a markdown parser. The binary is saved with a masquerading filename, given executable permissions, and launched detached from the main process. The package includes evasion techniques such as environment variable checks to avoid execution in sandbox or CI environments. This malicious activity occurs immediately upon requiring the package.
