Malicious code in devplatform-spa-plugin-auth (npm) 0 The npm package devplatform-spa-plugin-auth version 35.4.5 contains malicious code that, upon loading, fetches and executes an attacker-controlled native binary from multiple remote hosts. This behavior is unexpected for an SPA auth-token plugin and results in full host code execution on any machine using this package version. The malicious payload is downloaded via HTTPS or DNS TXT record fallback, saved to temporary storage, given execute permissions, and run silently in the background. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently provided. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/05/2026, 13:43:39 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 15:31:06 UTC |
