Malicious code in devplatform-spa-plugin-module (npm)
0

The devplatform-spa-plugin-module npm package version 35.7.9 contains malicious code that acts as an install-time dropper. Upon requiring the package, it reconstructs hostnames to download an opaque binary payload from Cloudflare Workers subdomains or, if that fails, retrieves the payload via DNS TXT record chunks from a fallback domain. The payload is saved to temporary directories under disguised filenames, made executable, and then executed detached from the main process. This behavior enables arbitrary attacker code execution on any machine that installs or requires this package.
