Malicious code in glia-functions-tools (npm) 0 The npm package glia-functions-tools version 0.2.1 contains malicious code that executes automatically during installation. The preinstall script runs code that collects sensitive system information such as hostname, username, home directory, DNS servers, and current working directory. It also reads sensitive files like /etc/passwd and /etc/hosts, then exfiltrates this data via HTTPS POST to a hardcoded Burp Collaborator subdomain. This data exfiltration occurs without user interaction, targeting installer-side system identity and account data.
