Malicious code in bnpl-blocks-atom-bnpl-dangerously-html (npm) 0 The npm package 'bnpl-blocks-atom-bnpl-dangerously-html' version 35.2.4 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from obfuscated external hosts. This binary is dropped into temporary directories under disguised names and executed detached from the main process. The package uses obfuscation techniques including runtime assembly of hostnames and a DNS-TXT base64 fallback channel for command and control communication. Any system with this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised, with all secrets and keys rotated immediately. Removal of the package does not guarantee full remediation due to potential persistent malicious software.
