Malicious code in bigops-procedure-file-handlers (npm) 0 The npm package bigops-procedure-file-handlers version 35.7.6 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific executable from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers endpoints. It writes the executable to temporary directories with disguised filenames and runs it detached from the main process. If the HTTPS delivery fails, it uses a covert DNS TXT record channel to retrieve and execute code. The package disguises its activity as OS telemetry, indicating intentional evasion of detection.
