Malicious code in bigops-status-selection (npm) 0 The npm package bigops-status-selection version 35.3.2 contains malicious code that, upon require(), downloads a platform-specific binary from hardcoded external hosts, writes it to temporary storage under disguised names, sets executable permissions, and executes it detached from the main process. The code uses DNS TXT record fallback channels to fetch a base64 payload and employs obfuscation techniques to evade detection. The malicious behavior is disguised as analytics or telemetry functionality. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/05/2026, 15:34:12 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 18:46:57 UTC |
