Malicious code in devplatform-spa-plugin-s3-router (npm)
0

The npm package devplatform-spa-plugin-s3-router version 35.1.3 contains malicious code that executes a native binary at module import. The package loads a helper script that constructs Cloudflare Workers hostnames in an obfuscated manner to evade detection and uses a DNS-TXT covert channel to retrieve a base64-encoded binary. This binary is saved to a temporary directory with a disguised name, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. The package falsely advertises itself as an SPA S3 router plugin and has no legitimate reason for this behavior.
