Malicious code in devplatform-test-pvm-is-odd (npm) 0 The npm package devplatform-test-pvm-is-odd version 35.3.9 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from anonymous external hosts. The package uses obfuscation techniques to evade static detection, including runtime string assembly for hostnames and sensitive function calls. The downloaded binary is saved to a disguised temporary path, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. A second similar dropper is present but not invoked in this version. No integrity checks are performed on the downloaded payload, increasing risk.
