Malicious code in dolyame-boxy-atom-bnpl-text (npm) 0 The npm package dolyame-boxy-atom-bnpl-text version 35.8.7 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a remote binary upon being required. It reconstructs hostnames at runtime to evade detection, fetches a platform-specific executable without integrity checks, saves it to temporary directories under disguised names, sets executable permissions, and runs it detached from the main process. A related telemetry module uses similar techniques under the guise of analytics. The package falsely advertises itself as an internal BNPL text module but performs no legitimate functionality beyond this malicious behavior.
