Malicious code in dolyame-boxy-atom-icon-loader (npm) 0 The npm package dolyame-boxy-atom-icon-loader version 35.1.8 is malicious. Instead of functioning as an icon loader, it downloads and executes platform-specific executables from obfuscated and suspicious domains. It writes these executables to temporary directories with disguised filenames, sets executable permissions, and runs them detached from the main process. If direct download fails, it uses a DNS-TXT record covert channel to retrieve and reconstruct the executable. This behavior is unrelated to the package's declared purpose and indicates malicious intent. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/05/2026, 15:25:49 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 18:47:12 UTC |
