Malicious code in dolyame-boxy-independent-bnpl-origination (npm) 0 The npm package 'dolyame-boxy-independent-bnpl-origination' version 35.6.6 contains malicious code that acts as a remote payload dropper. Upon requiring the package, it loads a script that detects the platform and constructs command-and-control (C2) hostnames to download an opaque binary payload from hardcoded Cloudflare Workers endpoints. It also uses a DNS-TXT covert channel fallback to retrieve payload data. The payload is saved to a disguised path in temporary directories, given executable permissions on Unix systems, and executed detached via system shells. The package masquerades as a legitimate Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment integration but performs unauthorized remote code execution activities unrelated to its stated purpose.
