Malicious code in encrypt-string-safe (npm) 0 The npm package 'encrypt-string-safe' version 2.2.0 contains malicious code that fetches and executes attacker-controlled JavaScript from a deceptive third-party host. The package's index.js is heavily obfuscated and routes all API calls through a function that downloads code over unencrypted HTTP from a lookalike domain (jsdelivree.com) instead of the legitimate CDN. This allows remote code execution in the context of any application importing and using this package. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/05/2026, 15:52:32 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 18:46:55 UTC |
