Malicious code in agenttunnels (npm) 0 The agenttunnels npm package contains malicious code that allows remote command execution and file writes on customer hosts. The package's MCP bridge exposes a tunnel_run_command tool that executes shell commands fetched from a remote session worker, controlled by a hardcoded endpoint. This remote endpoint can disable human approval and push arbitrary commands and file patches to connected hosts. The default session backend is controlled by the package maintainer's personal subdomain, giving them full control over connected systems. Multiple specific versions of the package are affected.
