Malicious code in jagproject (npm) 0 The jagproject npm package, a fork of the Baileys WhatsApp library, contains malicious code that obfuscates a third-party URL within its message sending functionality. This obfuscated URL is reconstructed at runtime and directs session data to an author-controlled endpoint, which is concealed via character code obfuscation. Such behavior is indicative of a covert data relay mechanism embedded in the messaging API, which has no legitimate purpose and matches patterns seen in compromised Baileys forks.
