Malicious code in bigops-security (npm)
0

The npm package 'bigops-security' version 35.8.8 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from obfuscated, author-controlled infrastructure. The package disguises this behavior under benign identifiers such as 'analytics' and 'telemetry' but actually fetches an opaque executable at runtime, writes it to temporary directories, sets executable permissions, and runs it via shell commands. There is no legitimate native build purpose in the package despite this behavior. No patch or remediation information is currently available.
