Malicious code in sme-rko-finance-front-payments-feed-display-list-impl (npm) 0 The npm package sme-rko-finance-front-payments-feed-display-list-impl version 35.8.1 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a binary from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers hosts. The binary is saved to hidden cache paths, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. The package's declared purpose as an API client wrapper does not require this behavior, indicating malicious intent. The code uses string concatenation and base64 chunking to evade static analysis and employs DNS TXT record fallback to reconstruct payloads when HTTPS is unavailable.
