Malicious code in kit-vim-map (npm) 0 The npm package kit-vim-map version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes a Linux ELF binary upon import. This binary acts as a remote-controlled shell, allowing arbitrary command execution on the host. It establishes persistence via a systemd user service and exfiltrates sensitive files such as SSH keys and credentials to a hardcoded command and control server. The malicious behavior activates without user interaction beyond installing or importing the package. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/11/2026, 15:13:59 UTC Added: 08/11/2026, 18:54:19 UTC |
