Malicious code in dependencyfsdsfdsfg (npm) 0 The npm package 'dependencyfsdsfdsfg' version 99.9.0 contains malicious code that executes automatically upon installation. The postinstall script collects system information including the installer's username, hostname, current working directory, and network interface IP addresses, then sends this data to a hardcoded external server. This package appears to be a dependency confusion probe with a gibberish name and no legitimate metadata. Installation of this package can lead to full system compromise, and removal of the package alone may not eliminate all malicious components.
