Malicious code in @years20/n8n-nodes-utils-helper-e (npm)
0

The npm package @years20/n8n-nodes-utils-helper-e version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes during installation and module load. It collects system information including user ID, hostname, WSL presence, and the host's SSH public key fingerprint, then exfiltrates this data to a remote server with disabled TLS verification. Additionally, it deploys a private SSH key to attempt unauthorized local SSH logins on specific ports using common usernames, executing commands on any successful access. The remote server acts as both a data exfiltration endpoint and a command-and-control channel for remote code execution.
