Malicious code in @lodash-js/lodash-js (npm) 0 The npm package @lodash-js/lodash-js is a malicious package impersonating the popular lodash library. Instead of providing lodash functionality, it contains a cryptocurrency miner that runs in the browser, using visitors' CPU resources to mine Xelis cryptocurrency. The miner fetches its mining pool and wallet configuration dynamically from a cloud-hosted endpoint controlled by the attacker, allowing flexible redirection of mining rewards. It also collects the visitor's public IP address. Any project that installs this package expecting lodash will inadvertently deploy a cryptojacking script to end users.
