Malicious code in typescirpt-cli (npm) 0 The npm package 'typescirpt-cli' version 1.0.0 contains malicious code in its postinstall script that downloads and executes an unverified executable from a personal GitHub repository. It uses obfuscated code to reconstruct the download URL and a PowerShell command to run the binary on Windows and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) environments. Additionally, it sends installation metrics over unencrypted HTTP to a hardcoded IP address. The package name is a typosquat of the legitimate 'typescript-cli' package.
