Malicious code in typescirpt-core (npm) 0 The npm package 'typescirpt-core' is a malicious typosquatting package targeting 'typescript'. Upon installation, it executes a postinstall script that sends a beacon to a hardcoded IP address and downloads a Windows executable to the temporary directory, running it stealthily. It also contains logic to detect Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and pivots execution back to Windows using a PowerShell launcher.
