Malicious code in typescrit-cli (npm) 0 The npm package 'typescrit-cli' version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes during installation. It XOR-decodes a hidden URL to download a payload to the local temporary directory and runs it stealthily. The malicious script detects if it is running in a Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) environment and uses a PowerShell bridge to escape the Linux container and execute the payload on the Windows host. Additionally, it sends platform information to a hardcoded command-and-control server using obfuscated network requests.
