Malicious code in typesript-core (npm) 0 The npm package 'typesript-core' version 1.0.0 is a typosquatting malicious package impersonating 'typescript'. It contains no legitimate library functionality but executes a post-install script that decodes and contacts a command-and-control server. The script sends host fingerprint data, downloads a Windows executable to the temporary directory, and runs it silently. When installed under Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), it uses a PowerShell bridge to execute the payload on the Windows host. The malicious payload and commands are obfuscated using XOR encoding.
