Malicious code in fast-glob-fast (npm) 0 The fast-glob-fast npm package contains malicious code that installs a persistent SSH backdoor on affected systems. During installation, it appends a hardcoded attacker-controlled SSH public key to the user's ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file, granting remote access to the attacker. Additionally, it collects system identifiers and can report compromised hosts to a remote server if configured via environment variables. This behavior is delivered via a typosquatting attack on the legitimate fast-glob package. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/18/2026, 23:49:26 UTC Added: 08/19/2026, 00:35:49 UTC |
