Malicious code in lodsh-cli (npm) 0 lodsh-cli is a malicious npm package that impersonates lodash-cli. Its postinstall.js script executes automatically upon installation, performing two hostile actions: it downloads and runs a Windows executable on the victim machine enabling arbitrary remote code execution, and it sends platform information to a hardcoded IP address as an install beacon and target selector. The package uses XOR-encoded byte arrays to hide URLs and commands, evading static detection. Only version 1.0.0 is known to be affected.
