Malicious code in ranux-cloud (npm) 0 The npm package ranux-cloud version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes an encrypted payload at import time without user interaction. It uses heavy obfuscation and a hardcoded AES key to decrypt and run a large embedded module. Additionally, it hijacks a well-known dependency to pull arbitrary code from an attacker-controlled GitHub repository, increasing the risk of executing unauthorized code during installation.
