Malicious code in pump-fun-skills (npm) 0 The npm package 'pump-fun-skills' version 20.1.1 contains malicious code that executes automatically upon installation. Its postinstall script collects extensive system and user environment data, including sensitive files like /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, and npm authentication tokens, and sends this information unencrypted to an attacker-controlled server. The package is a typosquatting attempt targeting developers in specific crypto-frontend ecosystems by impersonating legitimate packages. This behavior enables potential hijacking of the installer's npm identity and further compromise. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/19/2026, 05:15:14 UTC Added: 08/19/2026, 13:50:56 UTC |
