Malicious code in novel-suduko (npm) 0 The novel-suduko npm package version 1.0.1 contains a malicious postinstall script that executes a large opaque native binary during installation on Linux x64 systems. The binary is much larger and more complex than the source code suggests, indicating hidden malicious functionality. The postinstall script silently swallows errors and falsely claims to only set executable permissions without running any code. This behavior results in execution of potentially harmful code on the installer's machine at install time.
