Malicious code in evm-validation (npm) 0 The npm package 'evm-validation' falsely advertises local EVM address validation but instead sends any input data to a remote, author-controlled server via an obfuscated URL. This behavior exposes sensitive data to an untrusted external endpoint without user consent or configuration. The malicious code uses runtime string transformations to hide the destination URL, which is a typosquatted Vercel domain. Versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 of the package are affected. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/19/2026, 10:14:45 UTC Added: 08/19/2026, 13:50:26 UTC |
